Just an Observation

As I sit in the cafeteria at my university, and watch people come and go, I notice something that I've noticed since the first day of highschool; people will always struggle to find a place to sit for lunch. It doesn't matter if you're 14 or 54, I see students and professors scan the cafeteria, hoping they aren't being stared at as they decided weather to sit at the empty booth next to the roudy group of jocks, or the uncomfortable seats beside the stinky garbage. Yes, lunchtime is supposed to be a break from class and stress, but in fact it tends to be a significantly stressful part of most peoples' day. No one likes to be put on the spot, and that's exactly what this trend consists of - individuals feeling pressured to pick their safe haven in the noisy, crowded, unforgiving cafeteria.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, the next time you're sitting eating lunch with your friends and you see a girl searching for a place to chow down on her BLT sub, don't stare her down until she disappears into the crowd. And the next time you're that person who can't find a seat, don't let it get to you like I do; face flushed palms sweaty and feeling like the entire world is looking at you - because they're not. For it took them the same effort to find their little corner of the cafe too.

P.S: I realize I haven't posted in forever and anyone who follows my blog is probably thinking "wtf it's not even about photography" haha I apologize, I want to include personal things in this blog and I plan to start writing down my regular random thoughts such as this one. So feel free to comment and give feedback because I know each and every one of you have been that person at some point!
