Hey guys! I'm trying to come up with some fresh new ideas for my blog, something to attract a larger audience and to keep people interested. I've never taken any 'behind the scenes' photos or videos for my shoots, but I think it would be fun! It would also let everyone in on what the days are like producing those final few shots you all see! Please provide me some feedback as to what you think about this idea, its greatly appreciated!
Also, although I cannot post any evidence just yet, I participated in a shoot last weekend, taking behind the scenes photos for my girls at Alta Moda. Their new website/blog is in the works titled Lulu Dash and we worked on some awesome beauty tutorials that will be extremely helpful and interesting! If you are interested check out their current blog at http://www.altaaamodaaa.blogspot.com (their link is also in my sidebar list) and stay updated with the development of their new projects!
Stay tuned!

Gotta Run!
This one's a quicky, I'm on my way out the door for a shoot downtown! It's for a school project, I can't wait for you all to see it. Anyway, this shot was taken last Friday at the championship football game for the ROPSAA trophy. My highschool, St. Thomas Aquinas, faced St. Margurite D'Youville, and although we lost I am SO proud of these boys. This shot shows their spirit, their enthusiasm, and that they are a family. It's my favourite from the entire game!

Excuses.
Usually excuses are used to explain why I didn't finish school work, but in this case, school work is to blame for neglecting my blog! Yes, university really is that strenuous. Besides that though, I have a lot of exciting things happening with my photography, and my portfolio just keeps growing! I have 3 shoots this week alone, and I am gearing up for a big new year as well. So, that being said, please be patient if you are a dedicated follower! I will try to post as much as possible in the coming weeks, even if there is little to no words, at least I will showcase my latest work!
I can't wait to show off my culminating photography project, which I am basing on a fall fashion editorial. The six models I have chosen to work with will each bring a unique flare to the shoot, and I will bring the unity. How you ask? You will see! ;)
I recently worked with one of my good friends, Danea, at the park by my humble abode. Quite the view, eh? (P.S: these photos were taken at 7:30am, in the freezing cold. We're champs, just saying.)

Grounded
So Nigel Barker is pretty much one of my major inspirations as a photographer and role model, and I recently joined his website entitled 'Beauty Equation'. When I found out there was an open forum where I could potentially get feedback from him personally, I jumped at it. Within a day - he has replied to my questions and ideas and gave me some interesting points to think about. Needless to say I'm star-struck and completely extatic, this made my day! Its awesome how he actually cares about his fans and followers, and I have more respect and love for him now than ever, not that I didn't before because c'mon, who wouldn't love that charming smile and british accent? Anyway, thank you to Nigel for helping me push forward with my idea for my first year final assignment, and thank you for boosting my confidence just a little more!!

Hot Child in the City.
No, that's not Lady Gaga, but it sure does look like an album cover doesn't it? It screams celebrity status and forces all the focus on her. This is Samantha Savoia; she's been in several photo shoots with my now and this is part of our most recent work together. Shes is extremely easy to photograph and our results are always pleasing! This shoot was for a school project of mine but this shot strayed away from the guidelines of the assignment, and I'm actually glad I did because it can now be used elsewhere! Thanks again Sam for always being an awesome model - I hope my teacher is as satisfied with the final photos as I am! (This picture makes me think of that song.)
Photo was taken at Yonge/Dundas Square in Toronto. Please visit Sam's YouTube page or facebook page for more info on her music:

Big Deal.
This year has been huge for me; starting university and moving out, but also with the progression of my photography business. In August, I shot my first wedding in London Ontario and I can tell you it was an amazing experience. It was the wedding of a beautiful childhood friend, to one of the nicest coolest guys I've ever met. This was a day of learning for me, but it was surprisingly laid back because of how close I am with the bride's family and friends. I have now done two weddings to date, and I cannot wait to do more! This genre of photography is so different from fashion and editorial shoots that I usually aim towards, but I still found ways to make the most typical pictures unique.
This is one of my favourite photos from the wedding party shoot after the ceremony.

What am I getting myself into?
I couldn't tell you honestly how many times I've tried to start my own blog - because its too many to remember. This time, finally, I feel eager to keep it updated and share my life as a photography student with everyone. My goal is to keep people coming back for more; for people to be interested in my work. Planning on starting a "Fashion <3's Toronto" series as well - if you appear in a photo on my blog and want a copy I'm only a click away! I welcome all comments and emails and if you are interested in hiring me or working with my on future projects please contact me and I will get back to you right away!
Thanks for taking the time to view the blog, each and every one of you are appreciated!
